We will kick things off at 1:30PM on Sunday, January 14 with our popular State Association meeting where all attendees are invited to join in the conversation on issues occurring in individual states around the country. This is an opportunity to learn from each other, and we encourage attendees to bring with them (or send to us in advance) any state legislation, proposed legislation or any other documents that they would like to share.
Our Summit will wrap on Tuesday around 5:00PM so you can book travel for that night or Wednesday.
We are still hard at work on the agenda for the 2024 ACCSES Winter Summit in Savannah, but it is shaping up to be something special. Before we get to the broad strokes, we have a request. During our 2023 Summer Conference, we invited three ACCSES members to present on some of the cool things they are doing in their communities. It was truly uplifting to hear their stories. These brief five-to-seven-minute presentations really drive home the important role disability service providers play and generate fantastic ideas for the future. If you have a story you would like to share, we want to shine the spotlight on you! Send an email to email@example.com and we will be in touch the same day.
Sessions at the 2024 ACCSES Winter Summit will encompass the following topics, among others:
- Advocating for Family Members
- Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technology
- Community Stories
- Day Habilitation
- Disability & Children’s Literature
- Home and Community Based Services
- Loneliness and Aging with Disability
- Music Therapy in Vocational Training
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration Draft Regulations
- Policy! Policy! Policy!
- Supporting a robust retirement for people with I/DD
We will begin announcing speakers shortly! See you in Savannah!
