First Friday Call

October 3 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

First Friday Call Graphic

CAMERAS ON! THE MICS ARE HOT! On the First Friday of each month during the spring and fall, ACCSES invites members to attend carefully curated, interactive calls hosted by leaders in government, policy, healthcare, and business to discuss the key issues of our time.

On Friday, October 3 at 1:00 p.m., the New York Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation will be sharing details of their Artificial Intelligence Community of Practice.  This collaborative learning community is preparing disability service providers to engage with artificial intelligence thoughtfully, safely, and ethically during a time of rapid change. Drawing on a toolkit of tailored videos, policies, checklists, and an Organizational Self-Assessment, they will share how New York agencies are working with vendors, each other, and the people they support to test tools, understand and address risks, and create person-centered safeguards.  These resources are being prepared for broader access beyond New York so providers can position themselves for what is ahead.  Michael Seereiter and Katie Page of the New York Alliance and Doug Golub of Data Potato will be leading the call.

ACCSES First Friday calls are open to ACCSES members only.  We encourage all interested leadership and staff of member organizations to attend and if you didn’t get an email invitation, please contact Sarah Saar at ssaar@accses.org
