SUMMARY:First Friday Call
DESCRIPTION:CAMERAS ON! THE MICS ARE HOT! On the First Friday of each month during the spring and fall\, ACCSES invites members to attend carefully curated\, interactive calls hosted by leaders in government\, policy\, healthcare\, and business to discuss the key issues of our time. \nUp to half of all police use-of-force incidents involve a person with a disability. Recognizing this critical need\, the teams from Learning Q\, IDD Safe\, and the Dale Rogers Training Center came together to develop a solution. The result is Safety and Police Encounters\, a new training designed to reduce risk and improve outcomes for individuals and communities. Join us for the First Friday Call on March 6\, where you’ll learn how the training works and how your organization can receive a free trial.  This is an important topic.  Please invite members of your team to participate. \nACCSES First Friday calls are open to ACCSES members only.  We encourage all interested leadership and staff of member organizations to attend and if you didn’t get an email invitation\, please contact Sarah Saar at ssaar@accses.org
