Register today for the 2022 ACCSES Summer Conference

ACCSES is pleased to announce that registration has opened for the 2022 ACCSES Summer Conference and Annual Meeting.  This year, we are live and in-person at The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center, 1400 M Street, N.W.  We will kick things off on Sunday, July 17 at 1:30PM EASTERN with a discussion of state issues led by our State Association Committee Chair.  This session is open to all conference attendees.  Following breakfast on Monday, we will begin our regular conference sessions, which will take place all day Monday and Tuesday.  On Wednesday morning, we head to the Hill for individual meetings with our Senators and Representatives.  ACCSES is inviting members and other Summer Conference registrants to reach out for any assistance they might need in setting up those meetings.

Sunday and Monday evenings, ACCSES will host cocktail receptions and will provide breakfast and lunch on both Monday and Tuesday.  There will be plenty of time for catching up after a long time apart!

As with every ACCSES conference, the Summer Conference seeks to educate, inform, and provide strategies that will help disability service provider leadership, rising leaders and other interested attendees enhance and expand options for individuals with disabilities.  Among the many topics we plan to feature during the Conference are the following:
  • AbilityOne
  • Apprenticeships
  • Barriers to Employment
  • Direct Support Professional Staffing Crisis
  • Disability Beyond the U.S.
  • Education
  • Employment(supported, customized, job discovery, expanding Competitive Integrated Employment, Project Search, Ticket to Work, Fair Labor Standards Act, prevocational)
  • HCBS and Long-Term Services and Supports
  • Long COVID’s Impact on Healthcare Services
  • Mental Health
  • New Technologies and Platforms
  • Public Policy Updates
  • Shaping the Future: Spotlight on Provider Initiatives
  • Social Media Marketing and Messaging
  • SuPRA and State Use
  • Transportation
We currently are lining up speakers, and we are honored by the people who have said yes to date.  We will be sending out announcements with respect to individual speakers over the next couple of weeks.  There are still one or two open slots, and we welcome your ideas and input if you have an interest in participating on a panel or presenting on a topic.  Let us know by responding to this email or reaching out to Kate at kmcsweeny@accses.org.

We are excited to be back in D.C. this Summer and are really looking forward to the ACCSES Summer Conference and Annual Meeting.  We hope you will join us.  Click here to register.  The registration fee is $649 for the entire Summer Conference, including breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday and the Sunday and Monday evening receptions.
